A few quick funnies

Here are some random funnies from the past few weeks.

  • Amana recently learned a new word: Sibling. One afternoon in the van we discussed that it meant both sisters and brothers. She said very excitedly, "I have 3 siblings! Anlynn has 3 siblings! Harrison has 3 siblings! And Isaac has 3 siblings!" Later that evening at the dinner table I asked her to share what she learned with daddy. She couldn't remember the word, so I have her "Sib..." as a hint. With a very enthusiastic gleam she shouted, "SIBLETS!" We thought it was hilarious!
  • At our family devotions each night, Amana reads the reference verse for Lige. She must have done really well the other night, because when she was done Anlynn said, "That was awesome Amana," in Anlynn's deadpan, yet encouraging, voice.
  • This past weekend Lige's sister brought a wooden train set for Harrison. Tonight Lige was playing it with the 3 big kids. I could tell Lige was working hard on a fancy track. When I went in to look at it, Harrison opened his arms wide over the tracks and said, "Harrison did it!"
  • Isaac had his 2 week check up last week. He looks great and is doing well. I'm happy to report feedings are not an issue: He had gained over a pound since leaving the hospital! He now weighs 10 lbs 9 oz and he grew a full inch. I'm a little sad my newborns never look like newborns very long, but I'm certainly glad they are healthy and happy!
