Well folks, we're still waiting for Baby Reed #4. My doctor's appointment today went well. Since we are officially past the due date, they strapped me up to the monitor to see how Baby is doing. Praise God that baby is doing well. There were appropriate heart rate accelerations and plenty of movement. There was also even a registerable contraction during the 10 minute monitoring session. :) On top of that, I didn't gain any weight this past week, which is always a good thing for me! Hmm, it just hit me she didn't measure my belly this time....she probably didn't want to see me cry when it said something like 46 cms!


My doctor said we are scheduled for an induction beginning Wednesday morning at 6:30. While having a date scheduled is good news, I must admit I'm a little bummed that we need it. And I'm also a little bummed that once again one of our baby's will probably be born a week over due. I know it's silly, but when my body doesn't match up with "on time" deliveries, I feel like a failure. Ridiculous, I know, as well as hormonal, but it's still the way I feel. As many of you may remember, even with a scheduled induction a)They've called us to postpone that time on more than one occasion and b)The first induction might not be the only one needed. With that in mind, please don't expect too much on Wednesday! We might not go in at 6:30, we might not have anything promising happen for a day or 2, we might be sent home again, etc, etc...We'll do our best to keep you all posted.


I know this post sounds depressing. It's a reflection of how I'm feeling at this moment. We're trying to make plans to keep busy this weekend. With record high temps, it's looking like a lot of movies, reading, and naps! I'm also taking appointments for visitors on Monday and Tuesday! I told Lige today that I wasn't planning on cooking for a while or cleaning for a while or doing laundry for a while! But since we have at least until Wednesday, it looks like I'll have to do all that for another few days! :)


Of course, you can all still pray that my water would break sometime between now and Wednesday morning! Wouldn't that sure shake things up?! Love you all!
