First day home

We got home from the hospital on Friday right before lunchtime. The kids came running as soon as we pulled up to the front of the house. They all gave us quick hugs and a quick glance at Isaac, then Amana and Harrison were off to play in the backyard! Anlynn, however, was glued to my side the remainder of the day. During our stay in the hospital, Anlynn had the toughest time. The kids visited us twice after Isaac was born, and Anlynn cried the whole way home both times. :(

Anlynn is the most motherly of the girls. She wanted to hold Isaac all day. She would snuggle up to him, kiss his feet, stroke his face, and call him her "little guinea pig".

We were curious to see how Harrison would react to a new sibling in the home. He did great! He wanted his turn to hold Isaac. For a two year old, he held Isaac well. He kept patting Isaac and saying, "my baby. My baby brother, I-gicks"! Then off he'd go to play again.

Amana was her typical self: half the time oblivious, doing her own thing. Half the time completely overcome with the emotion of it all! In the picture of her posted here, she had her hands pressed to her head and she was crying. She was saying something like, "We're just so glad you're home now. You're such a special little guy and we just thank God for you Little Buddy." It was both incredibly endearing and quite funny at the same time! :)

We're settling in just fine. Lige has the whole week off to help us get into a new schedule and routine of life. He has been the most helpful, loving, and thoughtful man. I am blessed beyond measure to be married to this man. :)
More to come!
