Trucks and blessings

We have had some incredible blessings lately.  I will get around to sharing all of them, but this post has to do with trucks.

Completely without warning, we were gifted a truck.  A lovely, blue, low-miled truck that seats six.  Given.  As a gift.  For $1.00 (for tax and licensing purposes).  Lige and I were floored and awed and humbled.  The kids?  They cried because we had to get rid of our old, black and rust, 190K miled truck.  We sold our old truck to a friend. But before we handed it over, the kids needed to take one last ride in Daddy's Black Truck.

I don't have a picture of Daddy's Blue Truck.  But it's bee-U-ti-ful.  And it's the truck of teenage Lige's dreams.  It's the kind he saw in high school and thought, "someday I'm gonna have a truck like that."  We are so so so blessed.  We are so so so unworthy.  But we are also so so so thankful.  We serve a big, huge God.  And He has been blessing our socks off lately.  So much so, that it has been hard at times to receive them.  Sometimes I want so badly to deserve God's blessings.  But He doesn't work that way.  He knows that we could never do enough to merit His blessings.  And so He just lovingly pours them out on us.  I just keep saying thank you.  And I delight in finding ways to use our blessings to bless others.  :)
