We learned quickly that THIS is not the intended outcome:
(FYI-Thankfully no one was injured.)
Look how sad and perplexed they both are...both of them so confused and disappointed.
All set and ready to re-launch. We started by counting down from 10 but the wind (silly, unrelenting wind!) kept
blowing the rocket over, so we decided to count down from 3.
3...2...1 BLAST OFF!!
Can you see the parachute in there? Trust me, there are 2 tiny black specks in the center!
Awesome first shoot!
**(Apparently you are not supposed to just set the rocket on the ground to shoot it off. You are supposed to slide in onto a secured rod used to guide the rocket safely up, thus eliminating the chance of wind knocking it over as you launch, sending the rocket straight at your feet.... Duly noted. Following this expert advice, we may be able to count down from 10 next time!)**
