Impromptu Tea Party

My children get to be with each other all day, everyday because of our decision to homeschool.  With that amount of togetherness, it's easy to guess that they have trouble getting along sometimes.  However, spending time together like this also allows for them to actually know each other.  They often pair off easily and enjoy having ready-made playmates.  And every once in a while, we have a day like today...when all five come together, without parental nudging, and have a really elaborate and fun time together.

Today's event was an impromptu tea party.  We used to have these quite often when the big girls were younger.  It's been a while, though, since we've had one.  I guess today seemed like as good a day as any.  Plus, Mom said yes.  Unfortunately, Mom doesn't always say yes.  But today I did.  And I'm glad for it.  :)

Something you should know about Reed Family Tea Parties...they are essentially black tie affairs.  No sweat pants or pajamas or regular ol' play clothes will do.  Everybody got dressed up.  Even Lucy.
