All winter long, I was the Lame Pinterest Mom. You know, the one who spent a lot of time on Pinterest...more time looking up neat Pinterest ideas than actually playing with the children. Yeah, lame.
Well, some of that lameness is beginning to pay off. Today we did our first Pinterest activity from my "Summer Fun" board. Yeah, me! Yeah, kids!
Today we painted hot rocks with crayons. We baked our rocks at 220 degrees for 10 minutes. Then we used our broken crayons (most of our crayons, ha!) to draw on the rocks while they were hot enough to melt the crayon. The kids had fun. And while the rocks were hot, they were cool enough that even Isaac was able to participate safely.
Here's to a summer being the Cool Pinterest Mom!
