Here's why: We made white chocolate bowls for pudding out of BALLOONS! Oh, Yeah! Like I said, a totally awesome mom. We made a mess. We got our fingers dirty. I let the kids lick the spoons, their fingers and any dribbled goodness, BEFORE lunch.
We greased the bottom of balloons then dunked them in melted chocolate wafers. If we would have had more than 1/3 of a bag, the bowls would have turned out more perfect-looking. I'm fairly certain the kids didn't care a lick!
Then we let the chocolate harden in the fridge. Once set, we popped the balloons and carefully removed the deflated pieces.
The the yummiest part: We added chocolate pudding, whipped cream and sprinkles!
It's a delicious feeling when you are proud of yourself as a mom. I have a feeling many of us feel inadequate, under-skilled, and like we're just barely making it through the day sometimes. Savor those sweet moments when you let the laundry go, forget about the dishes piling up, and actually set aside time to interact with your children. Go make some messes together. You'll feel like a Totally Awesome Mom!
