Four weeks and growing

Sweet Isaac is now four weeks old. After so many long weeks and months of waiting for him to get here, it seems impossible that he's already four weeks old.

He continues to do well. He's such a sweet baby. He's a good sleeper, an amazing eater, and a real snuggle bug. He really only cries when he's hungry, hot, or has a dirty diaper. Last we checked, he was already 11 1/2 pounds! Did I mention he was a good eater?!

We've been easing into our busy fall routine. Two weeks ago we picked up dance again. This week we added preschool, homeschool, and Awana. Next week we'll add small group and FCA. I'm grateful we're adding it all in slowly, but I must admit I loved our very low key summer. I'm happy that this year each week will look pretty much the same. One struggle last year was that every day and every week were so different that it was hard to plan. School for Amana went well again today. Isaac actually slept for us! Yesterday Amana learned the word "zone". Today we actually designated a "zone". Anlynn and Harrison are out and about while we're doing school and were crowding me and distracting Amana. We set up a perimeter and called it the "school zone"! The middle kids are free to work around us, just not in our space. They had playdough in the kitchen followed by coloring next to the school zone and finally playing in their room together. We're feeling our way through this together.

Well, my amazing eater is crying out to me! Goodbye for now!
