First smiles and other such sweetness

Trying to grin at Mommy

Hard to believe Isaac is well on his way to 6 weeks old. You wait so long for them to get here, then 6 weeks goes by in a flash! Lige was the recipient of Isaac's first real smiles this past week! It's so fun to watch Isaac smile. He warms up into it: it starts with a spark and gleam in his eyes, followed by a slow sweet curve of the lips, then suddenly the glossy-gummed smile!

I've been hearing some funny things from the older kids this week, but trying to remember them all has proven nearly impossible lately! Here are a few that I've committed to memory:

• Most people "plug" there noses to block out unpleasant odors. Anlynn: "I'm 'honking' my nose because those diapers are so stinky!"
• After being refused dessert for not finishing her dinner, Amana informs us: "When I grow up to be a mommy I'm gonna tell my kids, 'let's eat dessert first and then dinner.'"

Okay, so that was only 2, not a few, but that's all I could remember! Drats! Oh well...maybe I'll start to write them down until I can type them down! I'll probably forget where I put it and still end up in this same predicament!
