Grandparents have started asking for Christmas lists, so today I sat down with the girls to discuss what they'd like. Amana had a pretty good handle on what she wanted: A barbie, a rhyming game, a new movie. Anlynn, however, was a hoot! She said things like a "very new game", "a big book that's huge", and several other cute things.
We were in the car this weekend and Harrison was acting silly and cute. Anlynn says, "oh Harrison, you're so funny. You're hilarious." She said it so dead-pan, I can laugh now thinking of it!
Saturday Lige spent the day working on the Cavilier. He had spent several hours replacing the brakes and asked me to help him finish it up. He wanted me to pump the brakes several times while he was under the car checking something. I was pumping away with no change. He looked at me puzzled and asked if the brake got harder to push. I said no and he was even more confused. He got down to try it again, so again I was pumping away. He changed a few more things, looking dazed the whole time. After several attempts with less than satisfying results, I realized something. I had been pumping the CLUTCH the whole time! I totally felt like my mom! (I mean that in the best possible way, mom!) It was exactly like something that would have happened between my parents! Lige just gave me a look and shook his head!
