A Champion

On July 26th Lige competed in his second triathlon. He trained hard leading up to the event and all his hard work paid off! He was able to knock just over 14 minutes off his time from last year! We are all so proud of him!

A huge reason Lige has taken up triathlons is to be relevent with our FCA kids. He is a member of FCAE- the endurance arm of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. As a member he wears a yellow FCAE jersy when he completes and is always prepared to share his hope in Christ with fellow competitors. How surprised and excited we were this year, when a former FCA student was there to compete! Lige was able to encourage and support this young man as he prepared for his first triathlon. I know it was a great blessing to Lige.

Last year as Lige finished the race, Amana was able to run with him as he crossed the finish line. This year they were both excited to make a tradition out of it, and Amana crossed the finish line right next to her daddy! It was a great day!
