Two Wild and Crazy Girls!

Many of you know that the first weekend in August I was able to meet up with my dearest friend in San Antonio. We kissed the kiddos good-bye, thanked our husbands for the 100th time, and enjoyed a blissful reunion! We did all the things girls love to do: we shopped and talked and ate! We walked along the Riverwalk (which really is as beautiful as everyone says), we ordered pizza to the room for a night of girl talk, we took a trolley to the Alamo and to the mall, and we just enjoyed being with each other without the distractions and interruptions of real life. We actually had less than 48 hours together, but God was so gracious, and was able to stretch our time so that it felt much longer than it was. It was such a great weekend. We cannot thank our husbands enough! By giving us their support and blessing for this trip, it really freed us up to thoroughly enjoy ourselves. Both men held down their forts with great success, and the kids loved the special time with their daddies. While it was sad to part from my beloved friend, it was an extra sweet reunion with my family. I got some of the best hugs ever!
