This year the kids were begging to start school. I love that. We had a full summer, with fun experiences and memories made, but they were ready to jump back into school. More ready, in fact, than I was. Their excitement and enthusiasm was just what I needed as we headed into our new fall routines.
Sometime in the middle of second semester of the past school year, I started utilizing a binder system for Amana. That made Anlynn really want one, too. It was an incentive for trying harder and more willingly with reading...such a strange "incentive" you might think, but it proved just the thing Anlynn needed to stay steady and focused last year. So this year everybody got a binder. Harrison was SO HAPPY to get his own binder. His joy in this silly, simple little thing puts a smile on my face.

You might be wondering where Isaac was hiding, since he can't be found in these pictures. Daddy decided to take Isaac to run errands and make a stop at the Donut Shop on this particular morning. It was a win for Daddy and Isaac, but it was also a win for me to not have to worry about entertaining Isaac on our first day of classes. We are off to a great start! Here's to a wonderful school year!
