Our sweet Lucy has been one for nearly a month and I am just now getting around to blogging it. Can you tell she's number five? But hey, I have her baby scrapbook up to date, so there! :)
Because we had Zoo School in Omaha the weekend of Lucy's birthday, we decided to just have her party in Omaha. Thankfully my parents agreed to let us have the party at their house. It ended up being a really great day.
And I am so thankful for her. Oh so thankful.
Miss Lucy is a walking girl- and to her credit she began walking at a younger age than either of her sisters. She's about tied with the boys...she's got to keep up with them! Our cute one year old still has not a single tooth. I am so used to her gummy smile, I might not recognize her when she finally gets teeth!
One-Derful Things about Lucy at One:
After months of choosing daddy over me (except to nurse) you are finally becoming a mama's girl!
The walking thing is pretty cute because you are such a tiny peanut.
You will fall asleep in the arms of anyone but me- your sisters, your dad, grandparents, teenage babysitters, little old ladies at church...but not me.
When you throw a fit while sitting, you throw your face into the floor. That's not really a one-deful thing, but it's something I want to remember.
You are a carnivore. What you can eat without teeth amazes me.
You make a silly, scrunchy face that we love even though it's ugly.
You take delight in the crazy people in your life-namely your parents and siblings.
Your nickname is Lucy Bella. We don't know why, but we both started calling you that right away.
Sweet Lucy Nicole, God knew we needed you. You bring joy and laughter into our home. You are a delight to everyone who sees you smile. We love you and thank God for choosing us to be your mommy and daddy. May you grow in grace and love.
