I want to remember days like this...

I want to document today...Nothing magical happened.  Nobody said the cutest thing ever.  I haven't learned anything profound to share with you.  I just want to document today so that tomorrow, next week, next year when doubts and fears creep up and discourage me, I can go back to this post and remember that I actually accomplish a lot during each day, that I can, and do, teach my children well, and that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, " (Philipians 4:13).

I am not kidding when I say that almost every single night I lay in bed wondering if I have done enough- as a wife, as a mom, as a teacher, as a homemaker, as a friend.  I know I waste a lot of time, so some of these night wonderings are rooted there.  And if you recall a certain "Inadequacy" post from a few weeks ago, well then you aren't surprised by my Not-Enough Complex.

So, odd as it is for me, today I found myself relishing accomplishment.  I was able to stand outside in the sunshine, face to the sky, and thank God for this fresh, deep breath of achievement.  And it's only 2:30!

Here's my day so far:
1.  School- Each of my three school aged children had a great day of school.  Which means I taught and facilitated well.  Harrison flew through his work easy-breezy.  Anlynn maintained a great attitude the whole time, including the reading of 50 sight words.  I was also able to spend a few minutes sharing with her how this was an answer to Daddy's prayer for her last night about her attitude.  Lesson one-God answers prayers. Check. Lesson two-God helps us have a good attitude. Check.  Amana finished her second school novel, started researching Colorado facts online, and worked on her Bible Doctrine.  They each did more, but these were highlights for me today.

Before, during and after school I had other things going on:
2.  Amana had a piano lesson
3.  Made Anlynn 2 loaves of wheat-free bread
4.  Milled 50 cups of rice into flour.  Yes, that's right- I.Milled.Flour.
5.  Mixed up 2 batches of gluten free baking mix.
6.  Ran a load of dishes.
7.  Ran a load of laundry, including hanging it on the clothesline.
8.  Registered the school kids for Zoo School
9.  Scheduled Lucy's 1 year check up
10.  read over paperwork for Lige
11.  Made a grocery list.
12.  Planned dinner and actually set out meat to thaw.
13.  Nursed a baby a few times.
14.  Helped the kids make thank you cards for a trip to a pumpkin patch
15.  Prayed with the kids for a college freshmen from our church.
16. Agreed to make Welcome Bread for a new family at church and chose a recipe
17.  Wrote a blog about what I want to remember about today!  Ha!
**Note to self** This is a partial list.  Some things will be left out-like how I've changed 3 poopy diapers already.

Doubts and fears will plague me again.  But I am glad that I have this post to remind me of what is true in my day to day life.

Wow Dusty--Praise God for a good day! I really want to learn to make bread, too. Do you have a website you use? Or can you do a blog post on what you do? I've tried one gluten free bread recipe, and was so disappointed that I'm afraid to waste time on another one that doesn't taste good. :)
