Mama Belly and Baby Nook

A very good childhood friend has been requesting belly pictures. It's taken me a while to comply, but here are a couple of recent shots. As of when these pictures were taken, I am 35 weeks pregnant with 6 weeks to go. I know that seems like my math is off, but if you've traveled with me on this journey before, you know that it's spot on!

Yesterday we did some deep cleaning around here. It was sort of like nesting, but really, Lige did most of the work. Because he's great like that.

Since each of our three bedrooms already sleep 2 members of our family, we knew there was no shot at a traditional nursery for this little one. We enjoyed Isaac in our room for 8 months after he was born (which was WAY LONGER than I ever thought I could handle), but besides the little cradle, he was like a house guest that wouldn't leave. So this time it was important to me to have a "Baby Nook" in our room.

We received a lovely homemade quilt from a former student and her family as a baby gift. It is lovely and bright and makes me happy to look at. I plan to use this sweet quilt, but for now it's hanging on the wall above the cradle. I also got rid of a few pairs of shoes (I know, what's wrong with me?!?) to make room for a few baby supplies. I like our little Baby Nook. And I smile happy smiles looking at it in anticipation of our baby's arrival.

We do have some baby Cardinal gear, but I assure you it is not because we know we are having a boy. We are still team green for now. But Daddy is in love with the Cardinals, so this clearanced baby Cardinal gear found it's way to our home. :) Good for a boy or a girl, so I'm told.
