Good Cookin'

Before moving to the center of the state, we had never heard of Cream Can Suppers. After the first mention of it, though, we knew it was something we wanted to try. Okay, it's been 11 years since we first heard of it, but Saturday we finally understood what all the hype was about! I found a small, conveinient version of a cream can online and got if for Lige for his birthday last month. It came late and this was our first chance to use it.

You load a cream can with yummy vegetables and meat, add a liquid and seasonings, then cook it on hot coals. When it's done you get something like this:We used kielbasa, bratwurst, corn, carrots, mushrooms, asparagus, green peppers, onion, celery, potatoes, and cabbage. Oh, boy was it delicious! We can't wait to try it again. We already have the fixings for a Spicy Sausage and Shrimp Dinner next!
Happy Birthday Lige! I'm glad you like your present as much as I do!
