Too Old? Judge for yourself!

****CAUTION if you are squeamish at all, brace yourselves, this picture is not pleasant!*************

Yesterday, I decided to be a really great mom. We picked up one of my daughter's friends and headed over to a local park for friends, food, and fun. The friend and the three big kids had a blast running around and playing while I kept Isaac occupied. I followed Isaac up the playground steps to the first little landing. From the landing you could either go up another level or use the slide to get off. Isaac was happy throwing pieces of wood chips up to the next level. I looked at the slide. The top of the slide had a bar across. I suddenly remember days gone by when I would flip over the bar onto the slide and then slide down. I decided to give it a go. While I was hanging there upside down, I did have the momentary thought that perhaps I was a little too old for this. I even thought about getting hurt. But I will tell you, THIS is not on the list of possible injuries: The flipping went fine. It was the crashing into the rock-hard slide that caused the problem. With the momentum, the gravity, and my grown-up weight, my poor second toe didn't have a chance. I'm pretty sure it's broken. No, I haven't seen a doctor. Yes, I was too old. And even worse, my kids weren't even watching as I pulled off the trick!
