"A Good Day"

At the begining of October, the Reed kids were invited to a birthday party. It was no ordinary party...this one had PONIES! Yes, real live ponies for the kids to ride. The weather was cold and dreary, but that didn't dampen the excitement of being able to ride on ponies! Each child took at ride on Patches and were able to feed apples to Thunder.

Amana has had a love affair with horses for as long as I can remember, so this was an extra special day for her. She got the first ride and loved it. Anlynn was a little nervous at first, but quickly enjoyed her ride. Harrison could hardly wait for his turn! Once on, he would say, "Mom-Look at me!" every few steps! It was so cute!

As were were heading inside for the rest of the party, Harrison said to the birthday girl's mom, "It was a good day!" She was pleased that he considered it a good day, and we hadn't even gotten to the cake and ice cream and party favors!

We had a great day with this family. They are dear friends and were honored to share this milestone with them and their 2 year old daughter. I just feel bad for the parents...Ponies for a SECOND birthday party? How are they going to top that?!
