Carnival, Candy, and Costumes- Oh My!

Halloween 2009 is in the books!
This year we had a football player
A baby giraffe

Can you find our Sweet Pun'kin amid all the other pumpkins? Oh, there she is!
And we also had a fancy jaguar.
(Once dressed, she said to me, "I'm kitty-licious!" I have no idea what that means and we're not sure how we feel about that....!)
It was a gorgeous night for trick-or-treating, but we skipped that and went straight to a local church carnival. They call it a "Halleluiah Party" and it's packed with fun games, door prizes and lots of candy! The kids enjoyed silly games like "toss a roll of toilet paper into a toilet" and other activites like face painting and cookie decorating. At the end of the night, there's a drawing. Every child's name is drawn and they get to pick from a table loaded with all kinds of cool stuff. Amana picked a little doll, Harrison chose a pack of Hot Wheels, and Anlynn chose....a toothbrush! All that fun stuff, and she walks away with a toothbrush! I love it!
As everyone leaves, each child is given a bag full of candy. And I'm not talking about cheap stuff. No Smarties and Dum-Dums in these bags! They were chock full of Snickers and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! Even Isaac got a bag...I'm in bible study with several of the women in charge of this event. They handed me a bag for "Isaac", then told Lige and I to enjoy it! :)
We did run over to our neighgor's house for one trick-or-treat stop. Lucky we did: she was giving out full size candy bars, halloween pencils and mini cans of pop!
We all had a fun night.
