Tuckered Out

This past weekend, we were house-scrubbing nazis! Lige's Mom and Rick came Saturday and Sunday and generously offered us their help. Together, here's a list of the accomplishments:

• North fence repaired
• siding replaced on garage
• most windows washed-inside and out
• mini blinds scrubbed
• window trim scraped
• window trim repainted
• 45 bags of mulch finally down
• cobwebs swept from corners
• LAUNDRY and more LAUNDRY
• winter clothes packed away
• spring/summer clothes hanging in closet
• Toys packed
• front railing painted and securely attached
• front closet packed
• 4 loads of packed-up-house taken to the storage unit
• kitchen cabinets reduced to the bare minimun
• kitchen hutch removed
• tv wall mount installed

I'm sure that there are things I'm forgetting, and I'm sure there are things Mom and Rick did that we just didn't see. They were so extremely helpful, and I am so incredibly grateful for their willingness to come and work! Now that so much is done, we're starting to like our little house!

Although SO MUCH got done, Lige and I look around and see that there is so much more still to do. We're just taking it one step and one weekend at a time. Our house is now officially on the market, so if you know of any young couple or an older-wishing-to-downsize couple desperate to live in Minden, tell them about our house!
