A showing!

We found out yesterday that we have our first showing scheduled for Thursday afternoon! We are so thrilled by the early interest in our home. However, there is still so much to do! Lige and I worked late into the night finishing up Harrison's room, marathoning laundry, boxing up winter clothes, hauling things the storage unit, and picking up the basement.

In the middle of all this work, I began to get a little overwhelmed. How in the world were we going to get all this ready in time? But after talking with Lige and some personal reflection, I was able to calm down. We're getting this ready to SHOW. Yes, we want it to look appealing, clean, cozy, etc., but EVERY project does not have to be 100% completed. I began remembering the few homes we've looked at recently. Two of them are empty. But the third still had occupants. When we toured that home, I remember thinking, "these people aren't really motivated to sell." The home was clean and inviting, but there was stuff everywhere, crammed into every nook and cranny. I am glad we are taking the time to de-clutter and simplify. We want minimal amounts of our personal belongings in order that prospective buyers can picture their own life here. I also see, however, that with 3 young children at home all day, we can't pack up everything. So we'll do what we can and pray for the best!

We would sure appreciate your continued prayers for a quick sell. Please join us as we pray for interested, qualified buyes!
