Influenza killed my coffee date

My poor husband has Influenza A. He is miserable and feels awful for bringing it into the house. We think he picked it up in Kentucky or during the plane ride home. He's been feverish, achy, and sleepy. He told me today that he was calling the doctor...completely unprompted by me. That's when I knew he was really sick. The doctor loaded us all up with Tamiflu...which ran us about $410. I'm praising God for our flex-plan. So far the rest of us are still healthy. Although a temp check at bedtime showed Harrison with a very low grade fever. Please pray the kids stay healthy. And please pray for me not to get it. Being pregnant, I just don't think it would be good.
I had plans to have a coffee date with several girl friends tonight, but decided to stay home and keep our germs at our own house. With Lige gone all last week, I had really been looking forward to a night out to myself. Plus these are my Kearney girls, and since I'm not in Kearney much anymore, I've been missing them like crazy. But what kind of friend would show up with Influenza A germs?! So instead, I sat in my kitchen with a cup of decaf coffee with milk & sugar and pretended I was out with my friends, sitting in Starbucks, sipping my tall decaf caramel mocha with whipped cream! But I sure missed your sweet fellowship, girls!
And can I just say...I hate that I now love coffee! There was a time when I prided myself on hating it. And now, with each delicious sip, I vascilate between, "Oh this is heavenly!" and "I can't believe I like this!" I think I've become a grown-up. Grown-ups drink coffee. When did this happen?!

Welcome to the wonderful world of grown-ups and their hateful coffee addictions. :) I couldn't be happier for you!
