Rain Rain Go Away

Anlynn was talking to Lige on the phone this morning. I heard her tell him, "I don't like the rain because it makes my ears scared." I had to smile. I'm not liking the rain much today either, but for very different reasons. Today's rain is supposed to usher in the first snow of the season. Frankly, I'm just not ready for snow. I barely got to enjoy the crisp and sunny fall days that I love so much. You know, the ones where the sky is still blue and the sun reflects off the golden leaves, and even though there's a chill in the air, everythings seems warm. And the coming of rain and snow also means the fleeting chance of making it to a pumpkin patch this year. Anlynn's preschool class is scheduled to go this Friday...I think it's supposed to still be yucky and wet then. Bummer. I really love the pumpkin patch. I guess I'll just have to revisit the pictures from last year's trip! Last year's trip was glorious! The weather was perfect, the kids had a wonderful time, and it's landed in my Top 5 Days of My Life (wedding and birthdays are a given and don't factor in, by the way!). So here are a few pictures from last year's trip to the pumpkin patch! I'm feeling better already!

Look at that blue sky and those cute happy "Pumpkins"!
