Well, my oldest son is now nine! I can hardly believe it. Nine sounds so...not like a little guy any more.
We celebrated Harrison at home
With his best bud, Nathan.
His favorite gifts were a really awesome telescope
And a leather journal, "To keep track of all the things I learn about the moon and stars. And maybe notes at church."
Happy Birthday, Harrison Boy!
Nifty Notes about Harrison at Nine:
He is always crafting jokes. Really, he works hard coming up with them and polishing them. :)
Harrison loves to offer his pocket knife services to anyone struggling to open anything.
He takes his "Man of the House when dad is gone" role very seriously, and even walked me out to get the dogs late one night when I was a little scared.
Harrison is always creating something from junk, scraps, card board, anything he finds.
I secretly tell each of the kids that they are my favorite. When I tell Harrison, he smiles at me with a twinkle in his eye and whispers back, "I know!"
Harrison reads all the time. He loves Boy's Life magazine, Star Wars books, books about adventure, hunting books, and books with boy main characters.
Harrison is a Newsboys super fan! He knows all their songs by the first 4 notes. ;)
