Fantastic Four

Our sweet little Lucy celebrated her FOURTH birthday last month!

It was a fun day for her, even though we spent the morning at church.

Right after church we went to Pizza Hut for lunch: Lucy's special request.

Then we came home for presents!

We got her a billfold.  She really wanted one because her sisters both had one.  She was super excited to get one.  Especially when she had a few cards with birthday money to fill it!

We also got her a tea set.  Having two older daughters who each have had and broken porcelain sets, we opted for metal set.

We have a group of families that come over for dinner and bible study twice a month, and our meeting fell on Lucy's birthday.  She was delighted to receive a few more gifts from those sweet friends.  Lucy asked for a Minnie Mouse cake, so we compromised with Minnie Mouse inspired cupcakes.  She was happy with the results and so was I!

Four Fantastic Facts About Lucy at Four:

1.Lucy wants to wear skirts every day.  She is usually found in a cute t-shirt, matching or mis-matching skirt, coordinating leggings.

2.Lucy still has the hair of a 2 year old, but it's getting longer!  I started giving her hair and nail vitamin gummies! She calls them her special medicine or vi-tee-ems.

3.Lucy often refers to me as, "Me special Mommy."

4.It's become a "thing" between Lucy and Lige for him to say, "I love you a lot a bit," and for her to reply, "I love you a little bit"!

We love this girl so very much.  She brings sweet, funny, sassy, wild fun to our lives.  We are so thankful we didn't stop at four children!  

Lucy turning four had quite an emotional impact on me.  But I'll probably save that for another post!
