Weekend Project

Last weekend we had some pretty great weather before all the rain and storms hit.  What to do with all this good weather?  Lige thought it would be a great weekend for a project!

Last summer fierce wind blew over our small playground set.  When we moved it back to its original spot, we knew its days as a normal playset were over.  Boards were loose, the slide ripped off, and it was just in sad condition.

Fast forward to this past weekend- Lige salvaged the pieces of the playset by dragging them into the trees to build a TREE FORT!

Lige and Isaac grabbed $10 worth of supplies from the local hardware store and set to work.  Soon enough there was a platform attached to a tree, a slide mounted, and a climbing wall secured!  Next up were side rails, including a gap to climb through if you climbed the tree to get up.  So fun!

We all helped hold a rail or guide the drill or give input for each phase.  Lige and the kids have big plans for firemen poles, telescopes, and expansions connected by bridges.  We should have a fun summer!
