Somebody around here turned TWO!

It's a good thing two year olds don't have a very good concept of time, because we didn't get around to celebrating Isaac's birthday until four days after his special day. The kids and I did take Isaac to get birthday donuts on his actual birthday, and we sang to him then as well. On the 12th Lige got home from his Youth Trip around 4pm, exhausted, so we took the kids to dinner in Kearney. And that was the extent of Isaac's actual birthday fun.

But being a two year old, he didn't know what was really going on anyway, so Tuesday night we celebrated in a much more official way! Starting with a turtle cake! With TWO candles burning brightly.

Isaac knew exactly what to do with those candles, and blew them right out before the cake even got all the way to him!

Here he is enjoying his piece of turtle tail, I mean turtle cake!

He was excited to open his presents. Isaac was so funny to watch. He took it quite seriously and had a look of extreme concentration as he unwrapped each gift. Of course once they were open, he was all joy and smiles.

Race cars and a farm puzzle were the favorites. He also got new jammies and several cards from family.

Wonderful things about Isaac at Two Years old:

He is starting to talk more and more, and it's so fun to listen to him try new words.

Isaac is a rough and tumble boy all around. If it can be considered "boy" he is all over it.

Since he has older siblings, he thinks he is as big as they are and should be able to do the things they do...and he DOES!

He loves his daddy best in the world right now. He often says he's "Daddum's boy"!

Isaac is fearless when it comes to water. Scary sometimes, but really fun at the pool!

Isaac Jonathan, we are so thankful God saw fit to place you in our family. You bring joy and smiles every single day. We pray God will hone your passions toward a life of serving and loving Him. We love you, Buggum!
