Anlynn's Birthday-The Highlights
- She was doing subtraction without realizing it as she counted down the days till her birthday. :)
- She was okay with me leaving on her birthday because she got to open half her presents before I left. Her attitude was great, even though I was a little sad to leave on her birthday.
- She received several cards in the mail, and a couple of packages. She received a new swim suit, a Zhu Zhu pet, gardening tools and boots, purses, doll clothes, and a dress...I'm sure there were some other things, too.
- She also received pet African Dwarf Frogs. This was our favorite gift to give her, until she informed us she didn't really like them. :( After talking it over, we discovered she only doesn't like them if she has to TOUCH them, which she does not, so now she is happy with them. She feeds them twice a week and shows them to guests. They are a fun, low maintainence pet.
- She almost got to share her birthday with her new cousin, but he decided he wanted his own day and waited to be born until the 14th!
- Anlynn wanted to go to Applebee's for her birthday dinner. We took her the weekend following her birthday. She did not really care for the singing and clapping...she only suffered through for the free dessert. Poor girl...we told her we could go get ice cream somewhere else, but she was brave and gave a shy smile as the wait staff finished their song.
