Photo Blitz!

I have intentionally kept myself from blogging because I had no pictures to accompany the posts. While my writing is often quite engaging, I felt uninspired without pictures. But your wait is no more! For your viewing pleasure... A recent trip to Omaha led to lots of family fun. We spent one day at the zoo.

We had a great trip. The kids were disappointed that we couldn't swim, but we only had one sunny day which we spent at the zoo. Other than that nobody wanted to go home!

Lige planned a special date for me while we were there. He asked my sister to babysit, then he took me out to dinner. We went to an old favorite from before we were married. It was so yummy and did not disappoint after all these years. Then we headed downtown. As we were on our way, Lige played special songs for me. The final one was Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked. As the lyrics came to "I hope you're happy right now" we turned down 16th...the street the Orpheum Theater is on. I looked at him with tears in my eyes and said, "Are you serious?" We were going to see WICKED right then! The show was AMAZING! I could see it again tomorrow! Isn't my husband just the best?!

I wish I could tell you these pictures were taken from our fixed camera, but no, it's still in the shop. We didn't want to miss capturing these fun memories, so we bought a new camera. We had been looking into them for a while, and since it's been months with no word on our other camera, we decided it was time to splurge on this one. We love it!
