How is it almost May already?! Life has certainly been flying by over here at Deertales Farm. I am WAY behind on blog posting. I think partly because Facebook and texting make it so easy to share quick bits of our life. I want to capture some of our favorite experiences of the past few months here on the blog. Today seems to be the day to do it, so prepare for a blog blitz. :)
First up, way back in February my girls planned a Sisters/Friends Party. They have been trying to host a party for a year. They would work together to come up with menus and games, but their mother wasn't really up for it. Until February. After working with the other mothers to coordinate schedules, we selected a date and the girls got busy party planning.
They planned everything. From menus (complete with allergy-free options) to decorations and games, they really did a great job. They were thoughtful in creating their guest list, they had a great variety of foods which they prepared, and they made a schedule of events. They played charades and had a nature scavenger hunt. I was pretty impressed with how everything played out.
I'm really proud of my girls. They learned that a lot of hard work goes into planning a party AND with making sure the party runs smoothly. It was considered a success!
