Two Whole Hands

 Someone special turned Two Whole Hands today!  Anlynn is TEN!

Here she is, all ready to open her gifts.

 A beautiful engraved locket.

A new dress.

A new dance bag.

Another great dress and art supplies.

To add to the fun, I created a short scavenger hunt for Anlynn to do to find her special gift from Lige and me.  She read little riddles that led her to the next clues.  **A special side note for me: One year ago Anlynn would have really struggled to read the clues.  She has come so far (now that she can SEE!) and I'm so proud of her.**

 She found clues in her school binder,

 In the freezer,

In the attic door,

which led her to a bookshelf where the gift was hidden.  Can you see it hiding there?!

So what was her special gift?

 Anlynn got an iPod Nano and headphones. 

I think she's excited. :)

Oh, Anlynn, you're 10!  I can hardly believe you are already in your double digits.  It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming you into our little family.

  Being your mom is such a joy and privilege.  You are passionate and thoughtful and feisty and determined.  You have a heart that loves to help people.  I am so thankful that God gave you to me.  I can't wait to see all He will do in your life!  Happy Birthday, sweet sunshine girl!
