This past Saturday Amana and Anlynn had the opportunity to participate in Ballet Emmanuel again. They did it two years ago and loved it. It's an all day ballet workshop put on by a ballet ministry that travels the country. Ballet Emmanuel's mission is to use dance as a form of worship to God, and we love that here in this house. At the end of the day the students got to show off what they've learned, followed by a performance by the instructors.
Here they are with their teacher and favorite ballerina after the show.
Since Anlynn's birthday was the previous Monday, we told her she could have some friends stay the night after their performance. On a whim we invited the friends to attend the performance with us. They all agreed to come, so Anlynn ended up with quite the cheering section. :)
After the show we took all the kids (our five plus three extra!) to Luke and Jake's for dinner to celebrate Anlynn's birthday. She got to choose the restaurant. Her criteria: free ice cream. Lucky for us she picked one of our favorites!
We came home to enjoy gluten free carrot cupcakes.
Lucy was REALLY hungry for one. :)
It was a fun little evening.
