3rd Annual...

It's that time again...Father Daughter Dance time!  Amana and Anlynn were as excited as ever to spend this special occasion with their daddy.  They love picking out their dresses and getting their hair all done up pretty.

 Are they not adorable?!

All ready to go.  I wish this picture had turned out a little better.

Thankfully, THIS one makes up for it!
Lige really stepped it up this year by presenting each girl with a wrist corsage.  Is there a little girl anywhere who wouldn't want to be spoiled like this by their dad?  I feel doubly blessed because Lige is a really great dad all the time, too.

And I love this picture of the girls in their coats, bundled up and ready to go, wearing their excitement as well as their corsages.  Something about this picture makes me think of photos of the 40s and 50s, when an evening out meant dressing up.
They all had such a good time.  The girls came home talking a mile a minute, giving me every exciting detail.  Daddy came home tired but with a satisfied, happy smile.

The "littles" and I went to Pizza Hut for dinner and then rented a movie.  Harrison remembered our similar version from last year, because as soon as he learned the girls were going to the Father Daughter Dance he excitedly shouted, "Yes!  That means pizza and movie with Mom!"  I guess it doesn't take much to start new traditions- just a happy little boy with a great memory.  :)

We thought Lucy was still too young to join the big girls this year.  We are thinking next year will be when she finally gets to be a part of this special night with Daddy.

And because I'm feeling sentimental, I decided to add these as well:
