I must admit that 4-H provides kids with all sorts of really great experiences. The most recent experience for Amana was the chance to give a demonstration during her monthly 4-H meeting. She decided to make snowman cake pops for the 4-H Christmas party and use them for her demonstration. She got up in front of her peers and told them how she made the cake pops. Then she decorated for them, adding earmuffs, faces and buttons. At the end, she even fielded a few questions!
This sweet 10 year old has come so far! A year ago this type of presentation would have resulted in tears for sure. Now, however, she did a lovely job, with minimal nerves. I'm so proud of her for trusting God for help, pushing through fear, and getting to the joy!
Her snowmen turned out cute, even if they were a little on the "melting in the sun" side. :)
