Top Two Academy 2012/2013

The students of Top Two Academy started classes this week.  Our enrollment is up 50% !  In addition to adding a new student, Top Two Academy has also acquired new facilities.  Farm School in the country provides an exciting and inspiring atmosphere for learning.

This year we have Harrison the Kindergardener:

Anlynn the Second Grader:

And Amana the Fourth Grader:
Having three students this year has meant a change in teaching methods.  Where teaching strictly one-on-one has worked in the past, that method is not longer practical due to time restraints.  So this year we begin our class time as a group.  Group time includes calendar time, skip counting drills, geography/history, praying for our college freshmen, art or science, and reading from our 10 Girls series.  Once all that is done, each student is given their assignments for the day and begin to work independently.  Then I take turns spending time with each student individually helping with assignments, learning/reviewing phonics, and math lessons.  At the end of week one, things are off to a good start.

A little goofing around before classes start on the First Day of School:
