For the Joy...

The Reed Family celebrated Easter in a very simple and relaxing way. Once dressed and ready for church, we posed for Easter pictures. Then we gave the kids their Easter buckets. No, not the traditional Easter baskets, but plastic Easter sand buckets! They were filled with things like sidewalk chalk, flip-flops, and bubbles. And of course a chocolate bunny!

Then we headed to church to remember and celebrate the resurection of Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 reads, "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross..." What joy could possibly be so joyous that Christ would endure the cross? The joy of satisfying God's wrath against mankind, thus opening a way for us to have fellowship with Him. I am so thankful that God loved me so much that He sent His Son to die and be raised! Happy Easter!
