Yesterday was another doctor's appointment and yet another ultrasound. The purpose of this ultrasound was to check the placement of the placenta to make sure it wouldn't interfere with delivery. Praises to God for moving it to a safe spot, and many thanks to those of you who prayed along with us! Along with the placenta news, baby is in head-down position, which is also very good news. Some of you may remember sweet, but mischievous Anlynn about this time in my pregnancy with her: she decided to do 2 summersaults in about 36 hours! Our only concern at this point is the size of the baby. After taking their in utero measurements, Baby Reed # 4 is already measuring 5 pounds 6 ounces: about 2 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule. And we all know that my babies are always behind schedule when they are actually born! They re-checked my blood sugar to be sure gestational diabetes wasn't a factor, and the test came back, according to my doctor, "Excellent." So it's just a normal huge Reed baby!
I love the pictures they can capture with today's technology. I see a perfect little nose and the sweetest lips. I long to kiss this baby's lips and nuzzle into it's little neck! We'll get there...maybe just bigger and later than I would like. :)
