Prayers and other things

I know I haven't posted in a while. Things have been pretty busy. Today's post won't be long, but I wanted to share a few cute happenings. Climbing up to the table where adults were talking, Anlynn gets comfortable and while slapping her hands to her thighs and tilting her head says, "Guys, I've had a rough day." That was it! No preface, no explanation. We all just laughed!

Bedtime prayers were interesting last night. Amana's went something like this: "Dear God, thank you for this day. Thank you for all the good things I do. (she's not conceited at all!) I'm sorry when I do naughty things. (at least she's trying to balance it out!) In Jesus name, amen." Anlynn had something else in mind. If you know Anlynn at all, you know she can get a word in mind and it's like a competition with herself to see how many times she can use that word in one conversation. During prayers last night, her catch phrase was poop. Yep, on her knees before God, Anlynn used the word poop like this, "Dear God, sank you for this day. I'm sorry for saying bad words like poop. Megan said poop and she's mommy said poop is naughty to say and not to say poop anymore. So when Megan said poop, she's mommy said don't say poop because poop doesn't honor God and if you say poop you'll get a pankin. So I don't want to say poop over dare ever again. In Jesus name, amen." ! I'm so glad our God is big enough to put up with the "crappy" prayers of a 3 year old!
